Fiji Airways to Launch New Nadi-Dallas Route on Airbus A350-900

Fiji Airways is set to launch a new direct route connecting Nadi International Airport (NAN) with Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This new service, scheduled to commence on December 10, 2024, will operate three times weekly using the airline’s Airbus A350-900, designed for long-haul comfort and fuel efficiency. The addition of Dallas to Fiji Airways’ network underscores the airline’s strategy to expand its North American reach and capitalize on the strong travel demand between the U.S. and South Pacific.

Enhancing Connectivity and Tourism

The Dallas-Fiji route marks Fiji Airways’ fourth destination in the United States, joining Honolulu, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. This route provides direct connectivity for U.S. travelers looking to explore the South Pacific’s natural beauty, including Fiji’s famed beaches, coral reefs, and resorts. CEO Andre Viljoen expressed optimism about the route’s impact on tourism, estimating that the new service will bring over 1,000 additional passengers to Fiji each week, supporting the nation’s tourism sector and creating new opportunities for the local economy.
