Twice-weekly flights begin May 29 and run through September 14, expanding Scotland’s nonstop access to Zurich and connections beyond.

Schedule and operating window

Why it matters

The new route gives travelers in Scotland a direct link to Zurich, enabling easier onward connectivity via a major European hub, while also improving inbound access for Swiss visitors to Glasgow and the wider region. Airport operator AGS Airports said the service also strengthens ties with the Lufthansa Group.

Bigger picture: Edelweiss Summer 2026 expansion

Alongside Glasgow, Edelweiss’ Summer 2026 growth plan includes:

  • Kefalonia, Greece: new seasonal service (2x weekly, 6 June–29 August 2026)

  • Windhoek, Namibia: added long-haul growth in Africa

  • More seats/frequencies on selected existing routes from Zurich

Bottom line

Edelweiss’ GLA–ZRH launch adds a new nonstop option for summer 2026, improving leisure access and strengthening Zurich hub connectivity for Scotland.
