flydubai Adds Fourth Daily Moscow Flight as Russia Schedule Reaches 74 Weekly Frequencies
flydubai will expand its Russian network in August 2026, adding flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Moscow Vnukovo International Airport (VKO) and Ufa International Airport (UFA).
Beginning August 16, the Dubai-based carrier will increase its Moscow Vnukovo Airport (VKO) schedule from three to four daily flights. One day later, service between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Ufa International Airport (UFA) will rise from three to four weekly frequencies.
The additions will give flydubai 74 weekly departures from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to 10 Russian destinations, compared with 66 before the changes. An equal number of return services are scheduled from Russia. The eight additional weekly round trips represent an increase of approximately 12% across the carrier’s Russian network. The changes were first reflected in flydubai’s latest August 2026 schedule filing.

Moscow Becomes a Four-Times-Daily Route
The largest increase will take place between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Moscow Vnukovo International Airport (VKO).
flydubai will add a fourth daily round trip from August 16, increasing the route from 21 to 28 weekly frequencies. That represents a 33% increase and adds seven weekly rotations between Dubai and the Russian capital.
Moscow Vnukovo Airport (VKO) will account for approximately 38% of flydubai’s Russian departures after the expansion, making it by far the carrier’s largest market in the country.
Operating four daily flights also allows flydubai to distribute departures across more of the day. That can improve connection opportunities at Dubai International Airport (DXB), where passengers can transfer to other flydubai services or flights operated by Emirates.
flydubai launched its first Moscow Vnukovo service in September 2014 with one daily flight. At the time, Moscow became the airline’s ninth destination in Russia. The route has since developed into one of flydubai’s highest-frequency international markets.
The increase is particularly notable for a narrowbody route of this length. Scheduled flying times between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Moscow Vnukovo Airport (VKO) can exceed six hours depending on direction, winds, and the available routing.
Four daily flights will require substantial aircraft utilization, but the added frequency gives flydubai the ability to serve local Dubai–Moscow demand while also carrying passengers connecting to destinations elsewhere in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Indian Ocean region.
Ufa Service Increases to Four Flights Per Week
flydubai will also add one weekly round trip between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Ufa International Airport (UFA) beginning August 17.
The route will increase from three to four weekly flights, another 33% rise in frequency. While much smaller than the Moscow operation, the additional service gives passengers more flexibility and reduces the gaps between departures.
Ufa International Airport (UFA) serves Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The airport is located southwest of the city and handles domestic flights within Russia as well as international services to destinations in Central Asia, the Middle East, and neighboring markets.
flydubai lists a scheduled flying time of approximately four hours and 50 minutes between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Ufa International Airport (UFA). The airline places the route distance at approximately 2,022 miles, making it well suited to its Boeing 737 narrowbody fleet. Ufa Airport information is also available through flydubai’s destination portal.
The relatively small frequency increase may be intended to capture additional late-summer demand while improving access to flydubai’s wider network through Dubai International Airport (DXB).
flydubai Will Serve 10 Russian Destinations
In addition to Moscow Vnukovo Airport (VKO) and Ufa Airport (UFA), flydubai will continue operating eight other routes between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Russia.
The airline’s August 2026 Russian schedule includes:
- Yekaterinburg Koltsovo International Airport (SVX): Daily
- Kazan International Airport (KZN): Daily
- Makhachkala Uytash International Airport (MCX): Four weekly
- Mineralnye Vody Airport (MRV): Daily
- Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport (OVB): Five weekly
- St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport (LED): Four weekly
- Samara Kurumoch International Airport (KUF): Four weekly
- Sochi International Airport (AER): Four weekly
Combined with 28 weekly Moscow Vnukovo Airport (VKO) flights and four weekly Ufa Airport (UFA) services, the network will total 74 weekly departures from Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Three Russian destinations will have daily or better service: Moscow Vnukovo Airport (VKO), Yekaterinburg Airport (SVX), and Kazan Airport (KZN). Mineralnye Vody Airport (MRV) will also receive one daily flight.
The remaining destinations are served between four and five times per week, allowing flydubai to maintain broad geographic coverage without committing to daily capacity in every market.

Boeing 737s Will Operate the Expanded Schedule
flydubai has not identified a single Boeing 737 variant for the additional Moscow and Ufa flights. However, every flight will be operated by an aircraft from the Boeing 737 family because the carrier continues to use a single-type narrowbody fleet.
According to flydubai’s current fleet information, the airline operates 97 aircraft:
- 26 Boeing 737-800s
- 68 Boeing 737 MAX 8s
- Three Boeing 737 MAX 9s
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 represents about 70% of the active fleet and is therefore likely to appear regularly on the Russian network. However, specific aircraft assignments can vary by date and operational requirements.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 is particularly suitable for longer routes such as Dubai International Airport (DXB)–Moscow Vnukovo Airport (VKO). Its improved fuel efficiency and range allow flydubai to serve markets that would traditionally have required larger widebody aircraft or less efficient previous-generation narrowbodies.
Cabin products vary across flydubai’s fleet. Some Boeing 737 MAX aircraft offer fully flat business-class seats, while others have reclining business seats. flydubai is also continuing a retrofit program for its Boeing 737-800 fleet. The upgrades include lie-flat business-class seating and refreshed economy-class entertainment, reducing some of the product differences between the older 737-800s and newer 737 MAX aircraft.
Russia Remains an Important Part of flydubai’s Network
flydubai has spent more than a decade building one of the broadest Russian networks operated by a Gulf airline.
Its schedule extends beyond Moscow and St. Petersburg to several large regional cities, including Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Samara, Ufa, and Makhachkala. This structure gives the airline access to markets that are not always served directly by larger international carriers.
The flights also support connecting traffic through Dubai International Airport (DXB). flydubai’s partnership with Emirates allows eligible passengers to book connecting itineraries on one ticket, with coordinated schedules and through-checked baggage.
As of November 2025, the Emirates and flydubai partnership provided access to a combined 245 destinations in 103 countries. That connectivity gives flydubai’s Russian routes value beyond passengers whose final destination is Dubai.
Passengers from Russia can connect through Dubai International Airport (DXB) to destinations across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean. Travelers originating elsewhere in the combined network can similarly use Dubai to reach 10 cities across Russia.
The fourth daily Moscow flight will provide additional options for those connections while strengthening flydubai’s position in one of its most important European and CIS markets.
