Corrections Policy
Our commitment
FlyMag corrects errors of fact promptly and transparently. If we get something wrong, we fix it, note the correction publicly, and — for material errors — explain what changed.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with:
- The article URL
- The specific claim you believe is inaccurate
- The correct information, with a source if possible
You can also use our contact form. We aim to review every correction request within one business day.
What we consider an error
A factual mistake — an incorrect date, name, number, quote, or claim — is an error and will be corrected. Interpretations, analyses, and editorial judgments are not errors and are not subject to correction requests, though we will consider substantive counter-arguments and issue clarifications where warranted.
How corrections are marked
- Minor typos and formatting (misspellings, punctuation, broken links): corrected silently.
- Factual corrections (wrong number, wrong airline, wrong airport, wrong date): the article is updated in place, and a “Correction” note is appended at the bottom describing what was changed and when.
- Major factual errors that materially alter the article’s meaning: the article is updated with the correction note at the top, and the correction is also published on our social channels.
- Retractions: in the rare event a story cannot be salvaged, the URL is preserved but the article is replaced with a retraction notice explaining the reason.
Timing
Corrections are made as soon as verified. In our public correction notes, we include the date of the original publication, the date of the correction, and a brief description of the change.
