New & returning stations for 2026
United will grow its US network in 2026 with three first-time airports, one resumed station, and a new route from an existing city. Every flight will be operated by CRJ-200 regional jets (50 seats).
Roswell, New Mexico (ROW) – new city
-
Launch: February 24, 2026
-
Route: Denver (DEN) – Roswell (ROW)
-
Frequency: 2x daily
-
Aircraft: CRJ-200
-
Notes: United will go up against American’s long-running ROW–Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) service, giving Roswell a second network carrier and West-bound connectivity over Denver.
Montgomery, Alabama (MGM) – new city
-
Launch: April 7, 2026
-
Route: Houston/Intercontinental (IAH) – Montgomery (MGM)
-
Frequency: 2x daily
-
Aircraft: CRJ-200
-
Notes: Ties central Alabama into United’s main Gulf hub for one-stop access to the network.
Chattanooga, Tennessee (CHA) – new route
-
Launch: March 30, 2026
-
Route: Houston/Intercontinental (IAH) – Chattanooga (CHA)
-
Frequency: 2x daily
-
Aircraft: CRJ-200
-
Notes: United already flies CHA–Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and CHA–Newark (EWR); Houston adds South/Central US and Latin America connectivity.
Alexandria, Louisiana (AEX) – service resumes
-
Launch: May 21, 2026
-
Route: Houston/Intercontinental (IAH) – Alexandria (AEX)
-
Frequency: 2x daily
-
Aircraft: CRJ-200
-
Notes: United last served AEX in 2022; this restores east–west and international access over Houston.
Natchez, Mississippi (HEZ) – first time in 32 years
-
Launch: July 1, 2026
-
Route: Houston/Intercontinental (IAH) – Natchez (HEZ)
-
Frequency: 1x daily
-
Aircraft: CRJ-200
-
Notes: United becomes the only scheduled carrier at Natchez. The field was last served in 1994 by now-defunct Lone Star Airlines to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW).
Why it matters
By running everything with 50-seat CRJ-200s, United can reopen small, high-yield community links without over-committing capacity, while deepening feed into DEN and especially IAH. For Roswell, Montgomery, Alexandria, Chattanooga, and Natchez, it’s about restoring or adding daily network access — not just a point-to-point flight.
